Unfenced, by Marms Hope

You built it, and now you are the ceiling on it.

Unfenced is a series of once-only retreats for a handful of founders at a time. Five days, one extraordinary place, up to five expert coaches whose whole job is to help you see clearly, choose deliberately, and move. You arrive carrying a business that runs on you. You leave with the decision made and the way forward in motion.

Seats are accepted, not sold.

The problem, named

Somewhere in the last few years, the business stopped being the dream and started being the diary. You are the product, the pipeline, the quality control and the growth strategy, and every version of “next level” you have tried to plan has been squeezed between client calls on a Tuesday.

You do not need more information. You do not need another course. You need distance, stillness, and serious people around you while you make the decision you have been circling for a year.

That is what this is for.

What you leave with

Not notes. Not inspiration. These:

A clear-eyed picture

Of where the business truly is, and of your own role as the thing holding it at its current size. Said out loud, and written down.

A decision

What the business becomes when it stops being only you, and what you are letting go of to get there.

A plan in motion

Your first move, committed to in front of the small group, and a ninety-day execution map you build with us, not after you get home, but before you leave.

A nervous system that has come down

Most founders cannot remember what that feels like. You will have a physical reference for stillness that you can find again on the hardest days.

Ninety days of accountability

We stay with you after you land. The plan survives the flight home.

How it works

Every retreat is an edition, and every edition happens once. Same five of us. A different wild place each time, chosen for its stillness and its scale, and a different small group of founders chosen for the room. When an edition is done, it is done. There is no next date for the one you missed.

The days follow an arc we will not spoil here. Mornings that quiet the mind. Sessions that expand it. Afternoons that turn thinking into decisions before you sleep on them. Evenings that you will be telling people about for years. The place does half the work, and we choose places that can carry that weight.

The luxury, plainly

Everything is handled. From the moment we meet you at the departure gate to the moment the retreat closes, you do not open your wallet, book a thing, or think about logistics once. You fly at the front of the plane. You stay somewhere most people will never stay, with no one else around but us. Every meal, every transfer, every detail is done before you think to ask.

This is not ultimate luxury for its own sake. It is what it takes for a handful of busy minds to go completely quiet.

The exclusivity, plainly

The group is small because the work only happens in a small group. A handful of founders per edition, each one interviewed, each one chosen for what they will bring to the others. Revenue gets you considered. The room gets you in.

If you are accepted, you will spend five days with peers who see your situation clearly because they are living it too, and with five practitioners you could not book into one room anywhere else.

The mentors

Five of us travel with every edition. Not a lineup of speakers, one faculty, designed as a whole.

You could not book these five into one room anywhere else. Their names are shared when you apply.

The coaching

This is not a conference, and you are not in an audience. A handful of founders, five practitioners, five days. You will be coached in the group, where the breakthroughs compound because everyone hears everyone. You will be coached one to one, in sessions you choose, on the move you have committed to, and you will be coached after you leave, for ninety days, because a plan that does not survive re-entry was never a plan.

Nothing is theoretical, every session is designed to work on your business, your ceiling, your next phase.

The phases

Five days, three phases, one word each. We will not spoil what happens inside them, but the arc is the architecture:

See

Before anything can change, the truth gets said out loud. Where the business is, where you are the ceiling, and what you have been protecting by keeping it that way.

Choose

The decision you have been circling for a year, made. What you are letting go of, what you are building instead, and what the business becomes when it stops being only you.

Move

The first move, named in front of the group. The ninety-day map built before you leave. Momentum started while you are still there.

Between the phases: stillness, silence, and experiences we keep for the people in the room.

The settings

Each edition happens somewhere most people will never stay, and every guest has it to themselves. No other guests. No shared spaces with strangers. No noise.

We choose places for two things: beauty that stops your thoughts mid-sentence, and stillness that lets you hear yourself for the first time in years. Wild places, remote places, places that ask nothing of you and give you scale in return. The setting is not the backdrop to the work, it is half of the work.

Where the next edition goes is told to accepted guests only. When it has happened, it will not happen again.

The shift

Founders arrive at these retreats the same way: capable, successful, and quietly exhausted by a business that cannot run a week without them. The shift is not that you learn something new, it's that you stop being the person the business depends on and become the person the business answers to.

It happens in an order. First the noise drops away, further than you thought it could, and you hear your own thinking for the first time in years. Then the truth gets said, the one you have known and not spoken. Then a decision forms that felt impossible on a Tuesday at your desk and feels obvious out here, and then, before there is time to talk yourself out of it, the decision becomes a map, the map becomes a first move, and the first move is already made before you are home.

That is what we mean by collapsing time. Not rushing, but removing everything that was in the way, so that a year of circling happens in five days of moving.

You will feel it before you can explain it. The people around you will see it before you do.

What this is not

Worth saying plainly, because the word “retreat” has been stretched to cover almost anything.

This is not an arena event. There is no stage, wristband, or crowd of thousands chanting someone else's name. Nobody is upsold from the back of the room, the room is a handful of people, and the ones leading it know your name, your business and your ceiling before you arrive.

This is not a festival, not a party in a beautiful place with talks in between, not content dressed as transformation, not something you attend to say you were there. Every hour is designed, and every hour is working on you and your business.

This is not a course, a conference or a mastermind you dip in and out of. There is nothing to consume and nowhere to hide. It is closer to a bespoke engagement with five practitioners at once: leadership, positioning, execution, the body, and a craft you will not see coming, each an expert in a different part of what your next phase demands, all working on one thing, which is you.

And it is not repeatable. Big events run every year and will happily sell you a ticket to the next one. Each edition of this happens once, in one place, with one group, and is then finished forever.

The difference shows afterwards. People leave big events inspired and land home unchanged. You will leave this with the decision made, the map written, the first move already taken, and five people holding you to it for the next ninety days. Inspiration fades on the flight home, a shift doesn't.

Who it is for

Founders and solopreneurs doing mid six to seven figures and above. The consultant whose calendar is the revenue ceiling. The agency owner who is still the best person on every account. The coach, the creative, the specialist whose name is the brand and whose energy is the business model. You have built something real, mostly on your own back, and you are proud of it.

And you have noticed the pattern. Growth means more of you, and there is no more of you. You have read the books, bought the course, maybe hired the coach, and the same decision keeps rolling forward to next quarter. You do not lack ambition or intelligence, you lack distance, stillness, and a room of people who take your next phase as seriously as you do.

You will recognise yourself in at least one of these:

It is not for you if you want a holiday, a mastermind you can dip in and out of, content to consume, or someone to hand you a formula. It is not for the just starting, and it is not for anyone who wants to watch rather than work. Everything here is designed, and everything asks something of you.

The group is never more than a handful, and the number is set by the place itself. When the suites are full, the edition is full. Chosen for the room, not just the revenue.

Who is behind it

I am Marms Hope, I help founders turn thinking into execution: maps, plans, first moves, follow-through. Unfenced is where that work goes deepest. I bring four other practitioners with me, each a specialist in a different part of what a founder at your stage needs. Who they are, and what the days hold, is shared when you apply. Part of the experience is that not everything is announced.
